Hi everyone,
The BackerKit support team has notified me that they've cleared out all of the backlog, and there is currently only a very small trickle of support requests. We're going to be closing preorders and locking down the BackerKit Friday night, so if you have any changes you'd like to make please complete them before then.
I am also working on a detailed and comprehensive production update, which will be going out soon. Thanks.

Thanks for your patience over the last two days. These issues aren't your fault, and we're working to try to make this process as simple as possible. I think we might be there. Yesterday BackerKit came up with a simple solution that will solve the RCH add-on pricing issue.
They created a pledge question that asks if you've added on a card bank. This then references a hidden add-on that is worth $10. Below you'll see what it looks like when you login on our BackerKit: https://the-official-settlers-of-catan-gaming-board.backerkit.com/
Important Good News for International Backers who Added On Card Banks
Due to BackerKit's payment processor rules, we could only offer a "store credit" type of refund of the $10. This didn't sit well with us, since we wanted to be able to offer a full refund of the money, even if you don't buy anything more from us.
With that in mind, we decided to just eat the cost of international shipping and send all card banks out, regardless of destination country. We're very happy with this decision because it means everyone will get what they were promised, which is our ultimate goal. It shouldn't be more than $5,000 or so in total for the shipping, so we'll just make it back somewhere down the line.
So if you're an international backer who's expecting a card bank, please login and select the number of card banks you pledged for and confirm your shipping address so that we can get them to you. Thanks!

In order to celebrate the pre-order launch of our new products, we're doing a social media contest giveaway. One lucky winner will be shipped our production prototype Catan Bag, pre-packaged with the first production Seafarers Board off the line. This package will be shipped before we even place the order for the Catan Bags, so if you win, you'll be the first customer on the planet to own one. The rest of the pre-order fulfillment will conclude by the end of July.

Hi everyone,
Just a quick update on today. Due to the extraordinary volume of support requests we received regarding the card bank price difference (which we're manually fixing individually), I've requested that our BackerKit account be upgraded to the next tier. This means that starting tomorrow we will have their support staff managing all of the pledge levels for us, and they will be on hand to answer your questions. Please do not submit support requests until we notify you that we've transitioned over to their support staff though, otherwise it will just add to our mountain of email.
Here are a few outstanding issues that we're aware of and fixing:
1. Some international backers at the $40 level see a credit available, even though they didn't add on an RCH. This credit is the result of the pledge level not accounting for the additional international shipping that backers paid for that level. Fortunately this seems to be the only pledge level with this issue. So if you're an international backer at the $40 level and you see a credit available, I'm sorry to disappoint but it will be accounted for with international shipping.
2. International backers who are set to receive a card bank set (anybody at the $100 or above, or anybody who pledged extra to get one) will be issued a full refund of $10. This is because it costs us an average of $15 to ship the card banks internationally. We SEVERELY underpriced the card banks on the first Kickstarter, and are barely making the domestic shipments work. So we take full responsibility for that and will be issuing a full credit of that $10 amount to every international backer expecting a card bank.
3. The card bank price difference. I processed like 300 emails on Saturday regarding this issue. Please understand that we are working on fixing everyone's pledge and it will get resolved. We still have 200 or so emails left, that will hopefully be handled tomorrow by BackerKit's support staff so we can focus on marketing and launching our preorder campaign.
4. Assorted individual pledge customization issues. If you've emailed and haven't received a response yet, I'm sorry for the delay, but we should be able to resolve your question tomorrow or the next day.
One other thing I'd like to note is that while I was processing emails on Saturday, I was heartened by the number of supportive and encouraging notes I received. It means a great deal to read a little kind note or a word of support amid a mountain of email, so to everyone who reached out to encourage me to keep going, thank you. :-)
